Each year 15 invited artists are asked to produce
artwork that has a relationship to the region and
the collection. These artists through their artwork
play a pivotal role in defining the region; in
illustrating its uniqueness, personality and identity
they are able to interpret what cannot be put into
words about the spirit of the Moreton Bay Region.
The invited artists for 2011 are Carol Bisset,
Jamie Congdon, Nan Dingle, David Howard,
Dr Kay Kane, Dr Christine Kirkegard, Dai Li,
Susan Mullen, Nan Paterson, Dennis Nona,
James Lamar Peterson, Linda Smith,
Gabrielle Turnbull, Guy Warren, and
Marcia Whyte. This exhibition has an $8,000
acquisitive prize and the judge in 2011 will be
Dr Campbell Gray, Director UQ Art Museum.
