La Trobe University Museum of Art is committed to the ongoing project of building a collection of the most significant works in contemporary Australian art. Each year since the establishment of the university in the 1960s the museum has acquired the works of artists which represent the vanguard of artistic thought and practice. This exhibition showcases the works selected by artistic director Vincent Alessi during 2010 and 2011 for permanent inclusion in the University Collection. Artists include Darren Sylvester, Yvonne Kendall, Sally Gabori, Stephen Haley, Alisdair Macintyre and Adam Nudelman.
