Extended Painting

The death of painting has released it from its conventions, practice and institutions. What is left is the idea of painting, which is to say the painter’s approach. This exhibition shows how the painter’s approach, or the idea of painting can be discerned in any art medium and can offer particular and important outcomes specific to painting.
