Heirs and Successors

This exhibition follows the lineage through to the next generation of painters who are carrying on the work of significant artists from the canon of the Central Desert Indigenous art movement. It includes works by Walangkura Napanangka, Naata Nungarrayi, Ningura Napurrula, George Ward Tjungurrayi, Clifford Possum, Minnie Pwerle, Dorothy Napangardi and their successors. This is an opportunity to study paintings by established masters alongside the next generation, including Yinarupa Gibson Nangala, co-wife of Yala Yala Tjungurrayi and daughter of another Papunya great, Anatjari Tjampitjinpa.
