Sue Beyer, He had been walking around in a
dream all day, acrylic on canvas.
23 February to 25 March
Recent paintings.
Sue Beyer’s work considers the façade of the ordered suburban environment and the assumption of the permanence of our way of life and our cities. Her work is concerned with the effect that spaces and suburban settings have on an individual’s emotions and behaviour and how people use space in a modern urban context. The paintings are watchful, voyeuristic, and hint at the uneasy ‘realities’ that can be found in these urban landscapes. ‘My work is influenced by the suburb I live in and the places I visit”.
