Tracey Moffatt
1 January to 19 February
Through these films Moffatt continues her fascination with the construction, presentation, and ultimate power of the reproduced image. Through the open narratives of her photographic series; Something more (1989), Scared for Life (1994) and Up in the Sky (1997) Moffatt first gained national then international recognition to become Australia’s most significant artist working internationally today. Doomed, Revolution, Other made in collaboration with the editor Gary Hillberg, sample and montage Hollywood hits and ‘B grade’ favourites to produce new narratives powered by evocative soundtracks that investigate our fear of the end of the world, regime change, and interracial contact. This is the first opportunity for the Horsham community to view these important new acquisitions to the Collection.
